Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms explain the basis on which QS On Call provides practical commercial support to subcontractors. They should be read alongside any scope, fee or turnaround we agree with you by WhatsApp, email or another written message.
Service scope
QS On Call reviews information supplied by you and prepares practical commercial documents such as draft variation submissions, additional works submissions, daywork or labour return support, extension of time summaries and rebuttal responses. Unless agreed otherwise, our work is prepared for you to review and issue to your client, main contractor or other project party.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete instructions, contract details, drawings, site records, photographs, correspondence, costs and any other information needed for the submission. Our advice and documents rely on the information you provide. You remain responsible for checking that the final submission is accurate before it is sent.
First variation free
The first variation free offer is available to new clients only and covers one straightforward variation submission based on the information you provide. Complex claims, major delay analysis, extensive contract review, large document bundles or urgent work may be quoted separately before we begin.
Fees and payment
Website prices are shown for guidance and may be updated. The fee, scope and expected turnaround for your work should be confirmed before work starts. Monthly starter pricing covers up to three submissions per month, with additional submissions charged at the rate stated on the website unless we agree otherwise.
Turnaround times
We aim to meet agreed turnaround times, but timing depends on the complexity of the work, the information supplied and our availability. We will let you know if a matter is likely to require a longer timescale.
No guarantee of outcome
We do not guarantee that a client, main contractor or other party will agree with, approve or pay any submission. Entitlement, valuation and payment decisions remain subject to the relevant contract and project circumstances.
No legal advice
QS On Call provides commercial and contract-aware support for subcontractors. We are not acting as your solicitor and do not provide legal representation. You should take independent legal advice where a matter is high value, formally disputed, adjudication-related or legally complex.
Limitation and suitability
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific piece of work that gave rise to the issue, except where the law does not allow liability to be limited. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Confidentiality
We will treat project information you send to us as confidential and use it only for the purpose of providing the agreed support, managing our business and meeting legal obligations. You should avoid sending information you are not allowed to share.
Before launch
These terms should be checked against the final business structure, insurance position, payment process and service workflow before the site goes live.
